The Centre
Located in the main High Street of this historic market town, the Heritage Centre is a museum of the town’s history from the Norman Conquest to the present day.
The Museum & Heritage Centre at Henley-in-Arden, near Stratford-upon-Avon, England is a unique facility made possible by the generosity of a former Lord of the Manor of Henley-in-Arden, Joseph Alexander Hardy of Pennsylvania and inaugurated by his daughter, Robin Hardy Freed, in November 1996.

This Week in History
13th April 2011
After 100 years Henley market closed on the 13th April 2011 to make way for a housing development. Henley in Arden Auction Sales Ltd was wound up in 2008 after cattle sales had ceased but a limited market on a Wednesday and Saturday continued until 2011. A fire ripped through the derelict buildings on the 6th June 2011. The land was also the site of the egg grading station.

The Heritage Centre is getting ready to re-open for the season on Tuesday 31st March
This year it is the Bicentennial of the opening of the Stratford Moreton Tramway.
The Heritage Centre will be taking part in a collaborative celebration of the Stratford Moreton Tramway by renewing our display of William James - the Railway Pioneer.
Other organisations that will be celebrating this event are the Stratford Society, Museum of Stratford upon Avon & Shipston on Stour History Society at Shipston Museum.
